With the theme of “Hard Drives: Harmony in Digital Daily Life,” a photo contest held by the South Korea Design Team drew nearly 100 photo submissions. Among those, 32 images were selected for display at the design center. The idea behind the contest was to promote the importance of digital storage and a healthy work-life balance.
“I was very pleased and surprised to find that so many of our employees are such talented photographers,” said Noyeol Park, SVP, SKDC. “Their contributions are what made this exhibition possible and strengthened our teamwork in order to pull this together.”
Employees captured many striking moments, including the design center illuminated at night, a mother and her young child relaxing on a lush green hillside, volunteers helping out in their community and more.
Chung Woo Lee, a senior staff engineer, was the contest’s overall winner. He received a 2TB Seagate Backup Plus Slim portable drive to store and share his photos and other media files.
“It wasn’t easy finding suitable spots around the office to photograph, but it was a great opportunity to integrate my hobby into the workplace,” Lee said. “It made me look at our facility and daily activities in a completely different light.”
Jung Hwan Shin was the second-place finisher, and Nina Yi took third place. They each received a 1TB Backup Plus Slim drive.
